National Rebuilding Day 2022

May 10, 2022 by Shanetta Oliver

https://www.rtcharlescounty.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/National-Rebuilding-Day-2022.mp4

National Rebuilding Day is Rebuilding Together Charles County’s flagship event (formally Christmas in April). On April 30, 2022, volunteers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office repaired the home of an 83-year-old homeowner in need.

Join us next year and help eliminate health and safety hazards so residents continue to age in place gracefully and independently

Rebuilding Together Charles County holds this event on the last Saturday in April of every year. Each year we make the homes of our elderly homeowners liveable and safe to live in.

You can help us make a difference. You can volunteer your time or donate to Rebuilding Together Charles County.

Grocery Giveaway – June 15, 2020

June 9, 2020 by Shanetta Oliver

Rebuilding Together Charles County has partnered with Our Place Waldorf to provide bags of food to those in need on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 4:30 pm at Good Shepherd Methodist Church at  305 Smallwood Dr. in Waldorf.

There will be bags of food that will provide 2 dinners while supplies last.  Rebuilding Together Charles County did not have their annual Rebuilding Day in April so the board voted to use the funds that are normally spent on a dinner for the volunteers to be used on dinners for those in need.

Rebuilding Together Charles County’s mission is to repair the homes of the elderly, disabled, and or low-income homeowners but during this time of COVID, we are postponing those activities until a later date.  Rebuilding Together Charles County wants to give a huge “Thank You” to Nicks of Clinton for their help in organizing the food for this event.
